Domnul este Păstorul meu
Profetul Ilie şi Ioan Botezătorul au proclamat adevărul fără frică înaintea împăraţilor din vremea lor, pentru că au petrecut mult timp în prezenţa Împăratului divin. Oamenii din vremea lor, ca şi cei din vremea noastră, îşi permit multe păcate şi se complac în plăceri şi desfătări, dar Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu este aspru faţă de ei. Dumnezeu l-a folosit pe Ioan ca să pregătească inimile oamenilor pentru Hristos şi pentru primirea Duhului Sfânt. Ioan Botezătorul a împlinit şi profeţia lui Isaia din capitolul 40. După mângâierea care vine de la Domnul în urma pedepsei pentru păcat, este prezentat Mesia, Păstorul, care are grijă de oi şi le hrăneşte.
God sent me
Genesis 42-45
Genesis 45:7, “And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.”
Time passed. God’s prepared tests had been passed successfully. Joseph’s brothers had repented of their hatred and jealousy. The Egyptians learned that Joseph was descended from a noble family. Pharaoh promised Joseph the best land, where his family from Canaan could live. Indeed, God sent Joseph to Egypt to preserve his family’s life. This ending of the story is beautiful. Everyone is happy. How good are you in giving glory to God for your success? God is not limited and He can do much more than we believe or think when we put ourselves in His service and give Him all the glory. The desire to be humble and give glory to God alone is not a natural thing, nor easy. Joseph learned these lessons in prison and in exile. When suffering comes into your life, will you pray that the Lord will teach you to be humble and prepare you to remain unchanged when you find success and the appreciation of others come? Inner humility comes only from the deep work of the cross of Christ as we give up our will, regardless of life circumstances.
Jacob’s family and God’s purpose faced great danger when Joseph’s brothers’ sin separated one from another. Blessings came over the house of Jacob only because Joseph was hurt badly. Maybe someone hurt you to ‘death’ (very badly). Are you tempted to have bitterness in your heart or seek revenge? Will you ask the Lord for grace to trust Him and faith to forgive? Joseph not only forgave his brothers, but he planned and worked to bring them to repentance, and rebuild their relationship with God. After you forgive someone, do you feel you have done your duty, since you feel good and can go ahead in life with a clear conscience? When God forgives, He does not stop until the sinner reaches reconciliation with Him. Who has sinned against you? What do you think the Lord wants to do through you to that person so that he or she could be reconciled to Him and others?
As Joseph suffered for his brothers, Christ also suffered for us, for, “While we were yet sinners, He died for us” (Romans 5:8b). In Philippians 2:8-10 we read, “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” Today, Jesus is exalted at the right hand of God. Someday, every eye shall see Him. What is your answer to the Lord Jesus? God receives all who come to Him, confess their sins and repent.

What is worldly music?
What is worldly music?
In my understanding, worldly music is pleasant to body and mind (has pleasant words), but it is not pleasing to the Lord.
The Lord does not accept that man is exalted, but only that God be forever exalted.
Worldly music doesn’t have the power to transform the human heart–we remain the same people full of sin and lust after the song. It does not call us to repentance of sin nor reverence toward God.
Faith, love and obedience to God
Faith, love and obedience to God are the greatest legacy that one leaves behind.Children inherit not only the good things but also the bad ones.What kind of sinful patterns do you leave behind?How responsible are we about what we leave behind?
Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of my fathers and my God, with joy and thanksgiving I worship You because You blessed me beyond my expectations. I thank You for talking to me. You’re with me and You continue to bless me. You showed Your mercy to me, You protected me, You saved me, You defended me, You encouraged me, You raised me up, You took care of me all the days of my life, You delivered me from evil. You showed me Your kindness, Your love, Your faithfulness, Your majesty. Thank You for revealing Your will to me. You speak to me through your Word. You teach me how to pray and how to rejoice in worship and ministry. I want to be obedient and humble, to live by faith, to the end of my life when You will give me the crown which never withers, the crown of a winner. My desire is to leave a legacy of faith to those who come after me: a life of love, faith and obedience to You, Lord. You have grace for me every day. You fill my life with peace and meaning, for my heart is surrendered to You. You help me not to be afraid of famine and evil, for You are with me and You teach me to enjoy my relationship with You. You speak to me in times of crisis and I remember Your promises. I praise You because You never abandon me. I am Your child! I am glad to be in Your care!
Lord, You are with me always to bless me!
And the angel of the LORD

Genesis 16:9, “And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.”
The birth of Ishmael was the result of human efforts. Hagar conceived Abraham’s child. Sarah responded with anger and cruelty toward Hagar, even though this was her own idea. Some people even today try to help God fulfill His promises. We are tempted to solve our problems with our own solutions. Let us draw near to God in prayer regarding every detail! We can learn some needed truths about ourselves from following questions: What is the right way to choose pastors and workers in churches? How worldly are we when we choose our life partner? How honest are we at our jobs? How much do we wait for the Lord to reveal to us the work and the call He has for us in our church, family, work place, etc.? We need to wait in prayer to receive light from the Lord regarding our decisions, both big and small. Maybe our human nature is seen in everything we do or, maybe we see the work of God and our dependence on Him in all things. In all areas of life we need to wait for the Lord. Let’s not hurry to help God to accomplish His promises faster.
Eventually, Hagar ran from Sarah’s harsh treatment. She apparently was going back home to Egypt, but before she got there, she was met by the Angel of the Lord. Who was the Angel of the Lord? This is understood to be Jesus Himself. Hagar, Ishmael’s mother saw, heard, and spoke to the Angel of the Lord, and He helped her solve the problem. Whenever we run from our problems, and do not know what to do, we struggle in confusion and sorrow. But the Angel of the Lord comes to us and helps us to see our condition, and then tells us what to do to fix the problem. Often, when we run away from trouble to get out of it, it only gets worse. Hagar made her problem bigger by fleeing into the wilderness. Nobody could help her raise the child and take care of him in the desert. Although she didn’t know the Angel of the Lord, she obeyed Him. We need to pray to have understanding and to obey the Lord when He speaks to us. Everyone can remember a time in the past when the Lord helped someone overcome a difficult situation. We need to thank Him for His security and protection. For what promises (yet future) do you thank the Lord?
O, God, how often I find myself in the shoes of Sarah, who wanted to help You fulfill Your promise to her family! I’m so worldly sometimes and have hurried to solve problems in a natural way without waiting in silence for Your will to be done, for Your help that will come in due season for me. Although I know haste makes waste, I see myself lost in my plans and desires. I need Your help. I need Your rest and strength to walk by faith, not by what I see. Speak to me, Lord, for I do not want to stay stuck in my natural tendencies, but rather to have Your light in all areas of life. Teach me to wait with joy for Your time for everything. You are my Lord and I want to be humble and obedient to You.
Father, I thank You for teaching me to be humble and patient!
So God created man
Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
God created man! It’s hard to describe the image and person of God, but we know that He has reason, emotions and will. The Bible tells us that God is the Supreme Intelligence. He thinks (Isaiah 55:8), He plans and He creates. A human being has a limited reasoning and intelligence. Humans have the ability to make decisions, to learn a foreign language, to understand communication and technology, etc. However, we receive them all from the Creator. We begin to understand the purpose in life when we know ourselves and we know God, and we realize that the intellect is given by Him–He has an intellect too. In the Bible, we see how God feels love (Deuteronomy 7:7-8, Isaiah 63:9, 1 John 4:16), joy (Zephaniah 3:17), hate (Proverbs 6:16) and peace (Philippians 4:7).
Our ability to feel and share emotions is a gift from God. We are full of emotions when we express our love for God (Ephesians 3:17-19).God created us to enjoy our lives with our family, in relationships with friends, in art, in music and literature.He wants us to enjoy His person and His work.People must hate evil and must experience the peace that comes from trusting in the love and care of God.How do you respond to the Lord through your emotions?If you feel drained of power and deficient i in your expression, will you ask the Lord to sanctify your emotions as you change more into His likeness?Will you ask for strength and help from Him?
Personality includes reasoning, emotions and will. The will and the power to do good come from God. God gave man free will. Man has free will to choose to listen to God or not, to choose to believe or reject faith. Because of the fallen human nature, we turn our back on God until the Holy Spirit convinces us of the truth of the Scriptures and draws us to the Father. How do you develop and exercise your will? Are you attracted to your carnal desires, or do you let the Word of God influence you on a regular basis? The Word of God can be alive and active in your life; the Word can give joy and peace, healing and refreshment.

Apocalipsa 17:1-6
Apocalipsa 17:3: ,,Şi m-a dus, în Duhul, într-o pustie. Şi am văzut o femeie, şezând pe o fiară de coloare stacojie, plină cu nume de hulă, şi avea şapte capete şi zece coarne.”
Această femeie reprezintă lumea și poftele ei. Pofta firii pământești, pofta ochilor și lăudăroșia vieții aparțin lumii și Dumnezeu ne spune să nu iubim lumea, nici lucrurile din lume. Poți să vezi contrastul dintre lucrurile lui Dumnezeu și cele interzise? Care lucruri te atrag mai mult: cele lumești sau cele cerești? Matei 6: 19-21 ne spune: ,,Nu vă strângeţi comori pe pământ, unde le mănâncă moliile şi rugina, şi unde le sapă şi le fură hoţii; ci strângeţi-vă comori în cer, unde nu le mănâncă moliile şi rugina şi unde hoţii nu le sapă, nici nu le fură. Pentru că unde este comoara voastră, acolo va fi şi inima voastră.”
Dumnezeu va înfrânge lumea și toate sistemele care I se opun. Loialitatea față de Hristos este incompatibilă cu pofta, plăcerile și puterea lumii. Ființa umană este atrasă de strălucirile lumii, de căile lumii. Trăim vremuri grele când felul de trai al creștinilor seamănă cu felul de trai al lumii. Cea mai mare provocare în viața creștinilor nu este persecuția, ci seducția lumii. Înfluența răului crește în viața creștinilor și mulți cad, trăind ca lumea. Creștinii cheltuiesc banii ca și necreștinii. Creștinii petrec timpul ca și necreștinii. Păcatul imoralității sexuale crește între cei credincioși. Divorțul este în creștere între cei credincioși. În multe familii de creștini prioritățile în creșterea copiilor sunt aproape la fel ca și în familiile de necredincioși: sport, muzică, dans, jocuri și vacanțe. Învățătura biblică lipsește în multe case. Nu mai rămâne timp pentru studiul Bibliei și pentru rugăciune. Care sunt valorile tale? Care sunt prioritățile tale? Îl iubești pe Domnul mai mult decât orice? Îl cauți pe Isus mai mult decât orice? Reflectă viața ta faptul că ești diferită de lumea în care trăiești?
Foarte multe lucruri rele sunt împachetate frumos ca să arate bine și să atragă privirile și interesul. Nu întotdeauna căpătăm ceea ce vedem, căci înșelătoria este mare. Aceasta este metoda lumii: să atragă, să înșele. Cumpărăm lucruri de care nu avem nevoie în loc să cheltuim bani pentru Împărăția lui Hristos. Prea adesea vrem să ne distrăm trupul și neglijăm sufletul. Nu contează cât de atrăgătoare este lumea, Hristos este cea mai mare comoară și bucurie. Domnul Isus este mult mai mult decât poate lumea oferi! Acest lucru trebuie să se reflecte în felul nostru de trai: în căsătorie, în cheltuirea banilor, în creșterea copiilor, în relații, în tot ce facem.
Doamne, ajută-mă să nu iubesc lumea și poftele ei!

Scopul suferinței
Romani 5:3-4: ,,Ba mai mult, ne bucurăm chiar şi în necazurile noastre; căci ştim că necazul aduce răbdare, răbdarea aduce biruinţă în încercare, iar biruinţa aceasta aduce nădejdea.”
Necazurile vieții lucrează spre binele nostru. Suferința ne echipează ca să-i iubim pe alții, să-i mângâiem și să ne susținem unii pe alții în călătoria spre țara veșnică. Abilitatea noastră de a-i înțelege și mângâia pe alții când trec prin durere, reprezintă o roadă tangibilă născută din suferință. Cel ce suferă este încurajat când știe că și alții au trecut pe acolo. O mărturie despre credincioșia lui Dumnezeu și purtarea Lui de grijă, Îl dă glorie Domnului și speranță celui aflat într-o durere asemănătoare. Cei ce suferă au nevoie de prezența noastră și de ajutorul nostru mai mult decât de vorbele noastre. Ei vor să fie ascultați și nu să asculte pe alții. Cum te-a pregătit Domnul ca să dai ajutor altora? Prin suferință!
Sunt căi practice pentru ajutorarea celor în durere. Unii se întreabă dacă Dumnezeu îi mai iubește. Să nu crezi că trebuie să răspunzi la toate întrebările. Roagă-te mai degrabă, ca să fii sensibilă și plină de compasiune. Să plângem cu cei ce plâng, căci jelirea sau împărtășirea durerilor aduce mângâiere. Roagă-te simplu și recunoaște durerea, harul și puterea lui Dumnezeu și încheie cu cuvinte de speranță. Dacă îi iubim pe oameni așa cum cere Dumnezeu, lumina lui Hristos strălucește în locuri întunecate aducând ajutor și nădejde. Lumea observă ce se întâmplă în viața credincioșilor când trec prin suferințe. Dragostea și unitatea Trupului lui Hristos (Biserica) îi atrage pe cei suferizi la Salvatorul (Psalm 133:1; Matei 22:37-39; Ioan 15:12; Coloseni 3:14); 1 Tesaloniceni 3:12). Copiii lui Dumnezeu formează Trupul lui Hristos într-o lume suferindă. Dragostea lui Hristos trebuie să ajungă la alții prin credincioși. Poate ai văzut această realitate în viața altora când ai suferit, și comunitatea celor credincioși te-a ajutat când ți-a fost greu. Și tu ai putea să te implici ca să slujești celor în suferință arătând dragostea lui Hristos.
Poporul lui Dumnezeu nu este învins de suferință și durere. Pavel a suferit și s-a rugat de trei ori ca Domnul să-i ia țepușul, dar Dumnezeu nu i-a ascultat rugăciunea, ci i-a spus că harul Lui îi este de ajuns și puterea Lui este perfectă în slăbiciune. De aceea Pavel spune în 2 Corinteni 12:7-10: ,,Şi ca să nu mă umflu de mândrie, din pricina strălucirii acestor descoperiri, mi-a fost pus un ţepuş în carne, un sol al Satanei, ca să mă pălmuiască, şi să mă împiedice să mă îngâmf. De trei ori am rugat pe Domnul să mi-l ia. Şi El mi-a zis: „Harul Meu îţi este de ajuns; căci puterea Mea în slăbiciune este făcută desăvârşită.” Deci mă voi lăuda mult mai bucuros cu slăbiciunile mele, pentru ca puterea lui Hristos să rămână în mine. De aceea simt plăcere în slăbiciuni, în defăimări, în nevoi, în prigoniri, în strâmtorări, pentru Hristos; căci când sunt slab, atunci sunt tare.” În necaz, poporul Domnului experimentează puterea Lui.
Doamne, ajută-mă să experimentez puterea Ta în toate necazurile!

Apocalipsa 5:8-14
Apocalipsa 5: 9: ,,Şi cântau o cântare nouă şi ziceau: „Vrednic eşti Tu să iei cartea şi să-i rupi peceţile: căci ai fost junghiat şi ai răscumpărat pentru Dumnezeu, cu sângele Tău, oameni din orice seminţie, de orice limbă, din orice norod şi de orice neam.”
Cerul este un loc al sărbătorii. Chiar şi acum, minunăţia salvării şi bucuria inexplicabilă care vin din cunoaşterea lui Hristos, determină inimile celor răscumpăraţi să izbucnească în laude. Ce mare har ne-a dat Dumnezeu ca să ne bucurăm de muzică frumoasă, creştină, care cuprinde adevăruri şi emoţii pe care cuvintele deseori nu le pot exprima. Trupul lui Hristos – Biserica – exprimă unitatea credincioşilor prin cântare comună. Darurile pe care muzicienii le-au primit de la Domnul, îmbogăţesc experienţa pe care o avem în închinare. Armonii dulci, melodii plăcute, voci frumoase şi instrumente de toate felurile ne ajută să-I aduce închinare Celui ce este vrednic. Varietatea muzicală reflectă creativitatea şi frumuseţea lui Dumnezeu.
Dacă eşti bătrân sau tânăr, muzician sau afon, Dumnezeu adânceşte dragostea Lui prin cântarea care Îl înalţă pe El. Muzica exprimă limba inimii. Muzica are abilitatea unică de a imprima pe inimile noastre adevărurile despre Dumnezeu chiar înainte ca mintea să le cuprindă. Mulţumeşte-I lui Dumnezeu pentru darul muzicii care ne ajută la închinare. Cântarea celor din cer era nouă pentru că nu s-a mai cântat. S-a cântat despre puterea şi bunătatea lui Dumnezeu într-un fel nou. Cântarea a început cu o declaraţie despre Domnul Isus care este vrednic să primească puterea, bogăţia, înţelepciunea, tăria, cinstea, slava şi lauda!
Biserica este comunitatea celor credincioşi care continuă să I se închine lui Hristos cel viu în vecii vecilor şi să-I slujească până la revenirea Lui ca Împărat al împăraţilor şi Domn al domnilor. Dacă Domnul Isus te-a răscumpărat, Îi aparţii. Tu participi într-o cauză care va avea biruinţă. Răscumpărarea, pe care Hristos a făcut-o poporului Lui, dovedeşte vrednicia Lui. Nimeni nu putea să ofere sacrificiul suprem înafară de Domnul Isus care a fost fără păcat. Domnul Isus este tema muzicii cereşti pentru eternitate. Noi toţi suntem nevrednici să stăm înaintea Lui, Cel sfânt care stă pe tron. Vrednicia noastră nu poate fi găsită în ceea ce Îi putem noi aduce, ci numai în ceea ce El a făcut pentru noi. Să Îi mulţumeşti că eşti copilul Domnului salvat prin sânge sfânt. Mântuirea pe care El a câştigat-o prin jertfa Lui, Îi dă dreptul să deschidă cartea şi să rupă peceţile ca să ne dezvăluie planul lui Dumnezeu faţă de omenire.
Doamne, dă-mi experiențe noi cu Tine prin cântare!
