Lutul şi Olarul

Isaia 63:7-64:12

Isaia 64:8

„Dar, Doamne,

Tu eşti Tatăl nostru ;

noi suntm lutul şi Tu olarul,

care ne-ai întocmit ;

suntem cu toţii lucrarea mâinilor Tale.”

Isaia continuă să se roage pentru judecata lui Dumnezeu asupra vrăjmaşilor adevărului şi ai poporului. Numai Dumnezeu poate să apere pe cei credincioşi care Îl aşteaptă. El este conducătorul universului, El aude şi răspunde rugăciunilor celor credincioşi. Încrederea în puterea lui Dumnezeu, atenţia personală şi mărturisirea dovedesc că Isaia Îl cunoaşte pe Dumnezeu şi ştie că ceea ce face El este drept.

Isaia ştie cine este Dumnezeu şi ştie cine este el.

Isaia recunoaşte că el este lutul, iar Dumnezeu este Olarul.

Isaia are o întrebare: Cum putem fi mântuiţi?

Isaia recunoaşte că toţi suntem necuraţi şi toate faptele noastre bune sunt ca o haină mânjită înaintea lui Dumnezeu. Toţi suntem ofiliţi ca o frunză şi nelegiuirile noastre ne iau ca vântul.

Orice persoană trebuie să realizeze că noi nu putem fi plăcuţi înaintea Domnului prin eforturile noastre personale. Chiar ceea ce ni se pare bun este păcat în comparaţie cu sfinţenia lui Dumnezeu. Fără harul Domnului nu putem vedea faţa Lui.

Totuşi avem speranţă. Avem un Tată. El, Olarul ne dă o nouă ocazie, a doua şansă să ne lăsăm transformaţi de mâna Lui într-un vas de cinste pentru Împăratul.

Ai ales să te laşi în mâna Olarului ca să te modeleze după voia Lui?

Recunoşti că toate faptele bune nu sunt suficiente ca să cumpere mântuirea?

Cei ce-L cunosc pe Dumnezeu (îndurător şi plin de dragoste), se roagă ca Domnul să nu se mânie şi să nu-şi aducă aminte de nelegiurile şi păcatele săvârşite. Prin credinţă ne apropiem de Tatăl.

Cum te vei apropia de Tatăl în săptămâna aceasta? Crezi tu că Dumnezeu are intenţii şi planuri bune pentru tine? Care situaţie o vei prezenta Domnului cu încredere şi vei aştepta reînnoire, tărie şi bucurie? Crezi că Domnul poate să-ţi dea un scop nou în viaţa ta?

Care este atitudinea ta când te rogi? Este o datorie spirituală? Este o experienţă emoţională la care apelezi în ultimul moment sau când nu mai ai altceva de făcut?

Care sunt adevărurile pe care îţi bazezi rugăciunea?

Ce ai învăţat despre răzbunarea şi răscumpărarea lui Dumnezeu?

Doamne, mă las în mâna Ta, aşa cum lutul se lasă în mâna olarului. Dă-mi Tu forma pe care o doreşti.

Doamne, rugăciunea este bucuria inimii mele!

Numai îndurarea lui Dumnezeu

Isaia 63:7-64:12

Isaia 63:7a

„Voi vesti

îndurările

Domnului.”

Îndurarea Domnului mă îndemnă la rugăciune, la mulţumire şi recunoştinţă faţă de harul Lui.

Cum trebuie să arate rugăciunea mea?

Începutul rugăciunii este important. În primul rând Isaia s-a uitat la Domnul şi apoi la el. Isaia meditează întâi la harul lui Dumnezeu şi apoi mărturiseşte, cere şi întreabă. Avem modele de oameni credincioşi din trecut (Moise-Exod 33:1-15 ; Numeri 14:13-19 ; Iosafat-2 Cronici 20:6-12 ; Daniel 9:4-19 ; Ezra 9:6-15 ; Neemia 1:5-11). Cei mai mari înaintaşi ai credinţei ne-au lăsat modele de rugăciune către Tatăl.

Oare de ce întreabă Isaia : ,,Pentru ce, Doamne, ne laşi să rătăcim şi să ne împietrim inima?”

Este această întrebare o învinuire la adresa lui Dumnezeu sau o recunoaştere a suveranităţii Lui şi o expresie a vinovăţiei poporului ? Poporul nu a reuşit să păstreze reverenţa faţă de adevăratul Dumnezeu. Isaia recunoaşte dependenţa totală de Domnul în ce priveşte salvarea. Fără intervenţia lui Dumnezeu, poporul nu are nici o şansă. Isaia strigă către Domnul ca să aducă o schimbare care să-i ajute să experimenteze răscumpărarea. Ca şi în trecut, aşa este şi azi. Salvarea, mântuirea este prin har. Dacă n-ar fi aşa nimeni nu ar putea fi mântuit. Isaia se roagă pentru popor ca să fie adus înapoi la Dumnezeu.

Ai un model de rugăciune ? Te grăbeşti să-i spui Domnului problemele tale ? Meditezi tu mai întâi la harul Domnului în viaţa ta ? Cum îţi mărturiseşti păcatele ? Cui ? Ai multe întrebări pentru Domnul ? Sunt oameni în jurul tău pe care îi admiri pentru rugăciunile lor ? Sunt ei modele pentru tine ? Ţi se întâmplă să învinovăţeşti pe Domnul pentru anumite lucruri sau pentru lipsa răspunsurilor la rugăciunile tale ? Ce zici despre reverenţa faţă de Dumnezeul cel adevărat ?

Recunoşti dependenţa ta totală de Dumnezeu în ce priveşte salvarea ta ?

Crezi că mântuirea a fost şi este prin har ?

Strigi către Domnul pentru o schimbare în viaţa ta ?

Strigi către Domnul pentru o schimbare în familia ta ?

Strigi către Domnul pentru o schimbare în biserica ta ?

Strigi către Domnul pentru o schimbare în poporul tău ?

Doamne, pune pe inima mea şi pe buzele mele o rugăciune fierbinte!

Îndurarea Domnului

Isaia 63:7-64:12

Isaia 63:7a „Voi vesti îndurările Domnului.”

Cuprins de umilinţă, Isaia îşi îndreaptă atenţia spre îndurarea lui Dumnezeu. Începe să-şi amintească lucrurile bune pe care le-a făcut Domnul pentru popor. Dumnezeu este plin de compasiune şi bunătate. Dorinţa lui Dumnezeu este ca poporul să fie credincios, nu fals. Dumnezeu se identifică cu poporul, spunând că a suferit şi El când poporul a suferit, şi a trimis prezenţa Lui ca să-i salveze. I-a ridicat şi i-a purtat încă din zilele din vechime. El înţelege durerile şi frământările omului. Ieşirea din Egipt este o amintire a îndurării şi bunătăţii lui Dumnezeu faţă de popor. Toată istoria până la Isaia ne dovedeşte că Dumnezeu a protejat poporul, dar ei au fost mereu nemulţumiţi şi au respins legea lui Dumnezeu alegând o religie falsă. Au respins dragostea şi generozitatea lui Dumnzeu, au întristat pe Duhul Sfânt (Isaia 63:10). Au refuzat călăuzirea Duhului Sfânt.

Cum te întorci tu către Domnul? Cu umilinţă?

Despre ce îţi aminteşti? Despre lucrurile bune pe care le-a făcut Domnul în viaţa ta sau despre problemele tale?

Cum Îl vezi pe Dumnezeu când priveşti înapoi la viaţa ta?

Cum vezi bunătatea şi îndurarea Lui faţă de tine?

Eşti mulţumitoare? Eşti nemulţumită?

Care este atitudinea ta faţă de Legea lui Dumnezeu?

Rămâi tu sub călăuzirea Duhului Sfânt?

Ce înseamnă să întristezi pe Duhul Sfânt? (Efeseni 4:17-32)

Neascultarea are consecinţele ei. Vei alege ascultarea de Domnul?

Unde cauţi tu odihnă? În duhul tău? În Duhul Domnului?

Duhul Domnului dă odihnă (Isaia 63:14).

Vei căuta tu în Cuvântul Domnului evenimente care să-ţi întărească încrederea în bunătatea şi credincioşia lui Dumnezeu? Dumnezeu nu se schimbă, este acelaşi ieri, azi şi în veci.

Doamne, Tu eşti Dumnezeul adevărat, plin de har şi îndurare. Mă întorc spre Tine cu recunoştinţă şi-Ţi mulţumesc pentru dragostea, credincioşia, generozitatea şi călăuzirea Ta. Tu ai îndurare faţă de mine, Tu alungi întunericul şi faci ca lumina feţei Tale să strălucească peste mine. Tu mă ajuţi să am o inimă mulţumită.

Doamne, Îţi mulţumesc pentru Duhul Tău cel Sfânt care îmi dă odihnă sufletului şi trupului meu.

Doamne, Tu dai odihnă inimii mele obosite!

Rugăciunea şi îndurarea Domnului

Isaia 63:7-64:12

Isaia 63:7a „Voi vesti îndurările Domnului.”

Cine poate să vestească îndurările Domnului dacă nu se roagă ?

Isaia petrece timp în rugăciune şi laudă la adresa lui Dumnezeu. Îşi aminteşte de lucrarea şi credincioşia lui Dumnezeu în istorie. Vede păcatul poporului şi se roagă pentru popor. Este foarte deschis şi sincer înaintea Domnului. Înţelege bine cine este Dumnezeu (nu este altul ca El). Recunoaşte necurăţia şi păcatele poporului.

Rugăciunea din inimă este o parte importantă a lucrării unui credincios.

Să nu subestimăm rugăciunea! Străjerii sunt cei ce se roagă şi veghează.

Cum arată rugăciunea ta?

De câte ori ai promis cuiva că te vei ruga, cândva, pentru cineva, (dacă nu vei uita)?

Uneori ne gândim că rugăciunea nu e suficientră şi ne grăbim să actionăm şi să facem planuri fără Domnul. Este aceasta atitudinea ta? De câte ori ai crezut că rugăciunea nu este suficientă şi mai trebuie să faci tu ceva?

Oare de ce credem uneori că rugăciunea nu-i de-ajuns? Chiar spunem: tot ce pot să fac, este să mă rog, ca şi cum numai rugăciunea nu este suficientă.

Rugăciunea este o lucrare!

Rugăciunea schimbă oamenii şi circumstanţele.

Crezi în puterea rugăciunii? Eşti tu curajoasă şi persistentă în rugăciune?

Ai spus vreodată: „tot ce pot să fac este să mă rog”? Ce ai experimentat în urma rugăciunii?

În timp ce aşteptăm pe Domnul, să lucrăm, adică să ne rugăm. Dumnezeu este credincios promisiunilor Lui şi ne ascultă rugăciunea.

Cum arată timpul tău normal de rugăciune? Cum petreci timpul tău de rugăciune?

Ce schimbare vei face după ce ai văzut modelul de rugăciune a lui Isaia?

Mijlocirea în rugăciune Îl glorifică pe Dumnezeu pentru că recunoaşte dependenţa totală de Tatăl.

Doamne, ajută-mă să mă rog şi să Te laud mai mult, căci vreau să vestesc îndurările Tale.

Cine se roagă, ajunge să vestească îndurările Domnului !!!

Voi vesti îndurările Tale !

Isaia 63:7-64:12

Isaia 63:7a

„Voi vesti

îndurările Domnului.”

Oare ce trebuie să ne amintim? Care sunt lucrurile pe care ar fi cel mai bine să ni le amintim?

Cred că ar fi bine dacă ne-am aminti că avem un Tată în ceruri, şi avem un Mântuitor. Să ne amintim de îndurările Domnului, de faptele Lui minunate, de marea Lui bunătate, de bogăţia dragostei Lui, de ajutorul Lui în necazurile noastre, de răscumpărarea pe care am primit-o în dar, de sprijinul Lui, de prezenţa Duhului Sfânt, de braţul Său slăvit care ne-a povăţuit, de călăuzirea Lui prin valurile vieţii, de protecţia şi purtarea Lui de grijă.

De ce este important pentru tine să-ţi aminteşti de dragostea şi credincioşia Domnului?

Ca să înfrunţi cu înţelepciune şi curaj bătăliile zilnice? Ca să te încrezi în Domnul? Ca să ştii ce a făcut? Poţi să descrii o experienţă recentă prin care ai văzut dragostea şi credincioşia Domnului în viaţa ta?

Cum se roagă Isaia pentru popor?Iată rugăciunea lui : ,,Priveşte din cer şi vezi, arată-Ţi râvna şi puterea Ta, întoarce-Te; o de ai despica cerurile şi Te-ai pogorî! Tu eşti Tatăl nostru, noi suntem lutul, iar Tu eşti Olarul, nu Te mânia şi nu-Ţi aduce aminte de nelegiuirile noastre, priveşte cu îndurare spre noi.”

Ce înseamnă aceste expresii în rugăciune, pentru tine? Simţi durerea lui Isaia? Înţelegi tu dorinţa lui da a avea îndurarea Domnului?

Cum te rogi tu pentru alţii? Cum simţi cu alţii? Simţi durerea altora?

Ce mărturiseşte Isaia cu privire la condiţia spirituală a poporului?Iată mărturisirea lui : „Am ajuns ca un popor pe care niciodată nu l-ai cârmuit Tu şi peste care nciodată nu s-a chemat Numele Tău.” Cum se poate aşa ceva? Oare este adevărat acest verset şi pentru poporul nostru? Care este condiţia spirituală a poporului nostru, a bisericii noastre? Strigăm noi după ajutor? Recunoaştem noi cât de păcătoşi suntem? Pe ce bază strigi tu la Domnul în rugăciune? Recunoşti că eşti păcătoasă? Recunoşti că tu eşti lutul care are nevoie de Olar ca să fie modelat? Îi vei cere Domnului să privească spre tine? Vei crede tu în ajutorul Domnului pentru familia ta, pentru biserica ta, pentru ţara ta?

Doamne, numai îndurarea Ta ne poate salva !

Doamne, inima mea strigă după Tine şi după ajutorul Tău!

Doamne, eu voi vesti îndurările Tale !

Vrei răsplată ?

Isaia 62:1-63:6

Isaia 62:2a : „Atunci toate neamurile vor vedea mântuirea.”

Promisiunea că va veni binele este o bucurie pentru popor. Avem un viitor şi o nădejde. Dumnezeu nu vrea alienare, mânie, fragmentare, singurătate sau frică pentru poporul Său.

Care este problema cu care te zbaţi acum? Vei cere ajutorul Domnului?

Înţelegi tu că viaţa ta, oricât ar fi de plină de activităţi şi relaţii, este săracă fără relaţia ta cu Cristos? Cât timp dai pentru relaţia ta cu Cristos? O laşi mai încet cu rugăciunea? Cât de mult te rogi pentru tine şi familia ta ca să fiţi după placul Domnului, să împliniţi scopul Lui în caracterul şi slujirea voastră?

Domnul Isus Cristos este răsplata pentru cei credincioşi şi pedeapsa pentru cei necredincioşi.

Care este viziunea lui Isaia pentru popor în ce priveşte venirea Salvatorului?

Salvatorul va face dreptate. Cei ce continuă să se opună şi să nege autoritatea Lui, vor fi pedepsiţi.

Ziua mâniei lui Dumnezeu va fi o zi de răscumpărare pentru poporul lui!

Cum aştepţi ziua Domnului?

Doamne, nu vreau să tac, ci vreau să mă rog neîncetat. Mă bucur să ştiu că îmi dai un nume nou. Îmi doresc să fiu mântuită, să fiu o cunună strălucitoare în mâna Ta. Nu vreau să fiu părăsită, nici pustiită, ci plăcută şi o bucurie pentru Tine. Caut să fiu ca un străjer care strigă zi şi noapte vestea cea bună şi laudă Numele Tău. Tu îmi cunoşti osteneala, şi nu vei lăsa pe străini să mă asuprească. Tu mă vei păzi. Tu mă vei ajuta să pregătesc o cale, să croiesc un drum drept, să ridic un steag de biruinţă şi să vestesc că Mântuitorul meu vine cu plata şi răsplata.

Îţi mulţumesc că m-ai căutat şi m-ai ales ca să aparţin poporului sfânt, răscumpărat de Domnul.

Doamne, cred că Tu ai toată puterea! Numai Tu dai mântuire! Numai Tu izbăveşti!

Mântuitorul vine ca să plătească şi să răsplătească pe poporul Său.

Doamne, rugăciunea este o mare bucurie pentru inima mea!

De dragostea Sionului

Isaia 62:1-63:6

Isaia 62:1a

„De dragostea

Sionului

nu voi tăcea.”

Este Israelul lumina neamurilor? Să păstrăm tăcerea?

Să ne rugăm continuu? Să ne rugăm consistent?

Cât de persistentă eşti în rugăciune? Cât de consistentă eşti în rugăciune? Cum a fost ultima ta rugăciune?

Ce înseamnă: „Rugaţi-vă neîncetat !”? Trebuie să ne rugăm şi să-L lăudăm pe Domnul astăzi, acum. Într-o zi va fi prea târziu. Încearcă să-ţi imaginezi că toate neamurile vor vedea mântuirea, răul va fi nimicit, harul va fi luat şi urmează judecata. Crezi că te mai poţi ruga atunci?

Domnul va mântui şi va restaura pe poporul Său, dar va pedepsi pe cei necredincioşi. Dumnezeu este dragoste, dar este şi dreptate. Mânia şi judecata lui Dumnezeu sunt drepte. El este curat şi sfânt, chiar şi în mânia Lui. Mânia omului nu este dreaptă, este păcătoasă. Scopul omului este egoism. Dumnezeu nu este om. Mânia lui Dumnezeu este împotriva păcatului. Mânia omului este împotriva omului. Este un echilibru perfect între dragostea şi dreptatea lui Dumnezeu. Păcatul este urât şi murdar. Trebuie pedepsit.

Dumnezeu va plăti şi va răsplăti fiecăruia după dragostea şi dreptatea Lui.

Dumnezeu are puterea să-şi împlinească promisiunile! Eu pot promite dar nu am putere să împlinesc.Care lucru crezi că este prea greu pentru Dumnezeu?

Te vei umili să recunoşti puterea Lui? Vei avea curaj să ceri prin rugăciune ajutorul Lui?

Cum a fost numit Sionul în trecut şi cum se va numi în viitor? Ţara a fost numită „Părăsită” şi va fi numită „Beula” (măritată). Ce înseamnă în Biblie când Dumnezeu schimbă numele cuiva şi-i dă un nume nou? Cui i-a schimbat Dumnezeu numele în Biblie? Dumnezeu a schimbat numele lui Avraam, Iacov, Petru etc. Când Dumnezeu schimbă numele unui om, îi dă o viaţă nouă, o perspectivă nouă, un caracter nou, un scop nou, o chemare nouă. Ce schimbare a făcut Domnul în viaţa ta, în gândirea ta, în relaţiile tale, în casa ta? Ce zic alţii despre schimbarea pe care a făcut-o Domnul în viaţa ta?

Oare noul nume va schimba reputaţia poporului Israel în ochii lumii? Popoarele vor vedea şi vor lăuda pe Domnul pentru acest lucru.

Doamne, nu vreau să tac, ci voi mărturisi adevărul despre Tine, voi vesti dragostea Ta faţă de Sion (poporul Tău), mă voi bucura de promisiunile Tale minunate, mă voi ruga. Tu poţi să ţii echilibru între dragoste şi dreptate. Tu eşti bun, Tu eşti drept şi plin de îndurare faţă de mine. Îţi mulţumesc pentru iertarea păcatelor, pentru schimbarea pe care o continui în viaţa mea şi pentru promisiunile Tale.

Doamne, inima mea iubeşte promisiunile Tale!

Happy Mother’s Day !!!

Introduction: Did you know that the idea for Mother’s Day was born in a small Methodist church in Grafton, West Virginia? It was 1876 and the nation still mourned the Civil War dead. While teaching a Memorial Day lesson, Mrs. Anna Reeves Jarvis thought of mothers who had lost their sons. She prayed that one day there could be a “Memorial Day” for mothers. The prayer made a deep impression on one of Mrs. Jarvis’s eleven children. Young Anna had seen her mother’s efforts to hold the war-split community and church together. As she grew into adulthood, the younger woman kept Mrs. Jarvis’s dream in her heart. On the day of her mother’s death, Anna was determined to establish Mother’s Day in her honor.

On May 12, 1907, a local observance was held which later spread to Philadelphia. By 1910, Mother’s Day was celebrated in forty-five states, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico. Elated, Miss Jarvis told a friend, “Where it will end must be left for the future to tell. That it will circle the globe now seems certain.”

On May 8, 1914, President Wilson designated the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day “for displaying the American flag and for the public expression of love and reverence for the mothers of the country.”

I want us this morning to look at Bible and from God Himself see what is His Will for Mothers, yes all women. It applies to us all, mothers, fathers, all men and women. But here the God addresses specifically His will and purpose for Mothers. This is the highest calling and purpose of women. This is basic for a full and happy life. To ignore it, means heartache and sorry and great disappointment. To ignore it means to live a life that less than what God intended you to be.

ILLUS: I received a letter a week before Mother’s Day in 1992, from such a woman from our home church, Calvary Baptist in King, NC. Her name is Linda Tise . She loves the Lord, it is so apparent that Christ is the center of her life. I was her Sunday School teacher for about three years. I would like to share with you some of her letter.

About her daughter she said, ” I feel like I’ve seen my daughter grow up in the Lord this year and that’s one of my greatest blessings.” She explained about the influence of one couple in the church on her daughter.

She talks about the Revival they had and how many were saved. Several church members were saved including the Pastor’s young son. She encouraged us to stay close to the Lord. She warns of the Devils attempts to destroy us and our usefulness for the Lord. She asks for prayer for several who have needs in the church. She asks for prayer for herself that “She and her family would be used of the Lord.”

Some would consider her simply a plain country girl. She is always modestly dressed, very respectful and has a beautiful smile. She is a jewel in God’s crown. If you attended the church you would not notice her. But she is always faithful, there at every meeting, ready and doing all she can to serve her Savior.

That church has a number of women such as this. You will drop by in the week and see her car outside the church. She is inside cleaning. Un-noticed yet she is faithfully serving the Lord. In 1977, when we first started attending there were only about 40 people. Currently the church is having attendance around 700-800 people.

Another young mother, named Carolyn. She and two daughters had received Christ as their Savior. They longed also to see her husband saved. She would regularly ask the congregation to pray that he would received Christ. At the close of many a service she would be found at the front of the church on her knees praying with her daughters for her husband to be saved. She was not ashamed to come forward and pray for her loved one and her family. She faithfully attended church and taught a children’s class. Year by year went by without any change on her husband’s part. But she remained faithful to the Lord, devoted to our church and lived a godly life. In 1986, in July…on Sunday morning at the close of a service the invitation to receive Christ was given and her husband Junior Martin came forward and was gloriously saved. The family was then complete in Christ. God greatly used them there in that Church. They are not in the lime light, you would not notice them, but they love the Lord and faithfully serve Him.

Years earlier a another dear Christian lady loved her husband and prayed that God would save him. She never nagged at him about it or argued. Each Sunday she would get her son and herself ready for church and faithfully attended year after year. Her husband showed absolutely no interest in God. She was always modest in her apparel, a loving wife and mother and lived a godly life. One day God touched her husband’s heart and he came to Christ. An important part in that was his wife’s testimony. Her husband stands before you today as your pastor.

Why has God used these three women? They love God and He is the most important thing in their lives.

I. A WOMAN WHO FEARS THE LORD SHALL BE PRAISED. Prov. 31:30

A. Verse 30 of Proverbs 31, is the heart of the matter. “A woman who feareth the Lord shall be praised.”

B. What does it mean to fear God?

1. The illustration shows the practical working of a Godly woman who feared God.

2. The Hebrew word is “yir’ a” and means an “emotional reaction, terror, or to be afraid, and to have reverence for God, a deep respect.”

3. In many places in the Old Testament the use of the term to fear God and proper living are so closed related they are virtually synonymous ideas. If a person feared God, it resulted in living a godly life. The fear is seen as the motivation which produced righteous living.

4. Exodus 1:17, The midwives feared God and would not kill the new born baby boys. In Exodus 1:21 God richly rewarded them.

5. Godly fear is the result of believing in God! When one’s sees who God really is it will bring about a godly fear of God.

Most people have such a small view of God. Yet, He created all the Universe…the Bible says he spoke it into existence out of nothing. Compared to us He is so much more than we can even fathom.

6. True believe causes a deep reverence and respect of God.

ILLUS: When I was in Germany, 1962, we had an IG (inspector general) inspection. This man was the final authority over all of us including our Group Commander. We were not in one sense terrified of him as he would not kill us, or harm us….but he had the power to approve us or fail us as a Combat Missile Group. If we failed….it would be really hard on us all. But because we respected his authority and power over us we worked really hard to prove ourselves as Combat ready.

As we stood in ranks, he inspected me, and ask when I was from. I was not terrorized to the point that when I saw him I wanted to run and hide. I was not afraid of him, because I was sharp! I was spit-shined head to foot….I knew my general orders, my uniform was perfect…because I was prepared and a good soldier there was nothing too be afraid of. I was the Groups Communications Center Chief and when he later inspected my center there was no problem…why? By Army standards I and my center and people were living righteous! That means we were obeying our orders and doing right. Yes we feared him, but we were not afraid because we were ready.

I believe it is similar with God. When a person comes to the knowledge of who God really is….they quit all the rebellion and fooling around. They get serious about serving God who created them!

They then want to obey God, follow Him and live their lives to His glory. As examples of His Grace they will show God to the rest of the world.

A man or woman who will not live for God, should really in all seriousness examine their lives, to see it their really believe in God with their heart or merely have a head knowledge of the fact of God’s existence.

II. THE WOMAN (OR MAN) WHO TRULY IS SAVED IS MOTIVATED BY A GODLY FEAR OF GOD.

A. The overwhelming examples of the use of the word in the Bible is most always used as the reason or motivation of why a person would serve God.

B. Look at Prov. 31:10. “Who can find a virtuous woman?”

1. Ladies are you a little intimidated by this description that follows?

2. Verse 30, is written as a question, that answers itself. The answer is very obvious! All my commentaries on the subject say it is a rhetorical question and the answer is NO!

3. However, I strongly disagree. To say the answer is no is to deny the power of God in a woman’s life. I say YES! The key is Verse 30, a woman, a mother, will be a glory and praise to God if at the center of her life, Christ Jesus is first….she fears, reverences and loves God and that motivates all she does. Yes, there are many virtuous godly women who love God and honor Him by their lives.

4. The word “virtuous” refers to a woman’s character of being a woman of strength and real ability. The Hebrew word is “chayil” (khah’-yil) and means strength, valiant, virtuous, one of valor, power and strength. Her strength or virtue is in her character of being a godly woman therefore she can be used of God as a blessing to others.

C. The woman that fears God will be praised. Both by God and among those who know her. The virtuous woman was a hard worker. She was not lazy, she kept her family and home in order. And that was a testimony of her love of her family and love of God.

III. The Virtuous Woman is Trusted by Her Husband.

A. Trust is something that is earned. Trust does not come automatically to anyone or to a person simply because the hold a position. Many parents are not respected by their children because they have not earned their respect. Many wives and husbands suffer greatly because their spouses do not have confidence in them. I believe everyone initially wants to trust other people. But trust will only come from the experience of observing the person and how they live.

B. A godly woman will earn the trust and respect of her husband as she lives a consistent righteous life before him. She honors the Lord and that manifests itself outwardly to others so that they trust her. One the of the great benefits in living for the Lord is that you live a life of character and people learn you can be trusted.

Think about that in the context of a woman winning her family to the Lord and influencing them to serve the Lord. If her husband is lost her virtuous life will be an positive influence and a testimony for the Lord. Her godly life will be a testimony and example to her children of God’s saving and life changing grace.

God’s influence in a woman’s life will show her family how good it is to live for the Lord. The opposite is also true. A nagging, never satisfied, always complaining and unstable wife will not gain her family’s confidence.

It boils down to a matter of love. True love puts aside one’s own desires and seeks the others well being. A selfish wife or mother shows she really does not have a deep love for her family. They in turn will cannot return a love that they are not shown.

ILLUS: There is a comedian whose is always saying “I don’t get no respect!” Listening to his sinful statements that are suppose to be jokes will show you why he gets not respect. He does not deserve any respect because he is disrespectful.

You cannot expect people to respect you when you do not respect them. Speaking down, being overbearing, complaining, or mistreating a spouse is a sure sign you have no respect for them and in turn …what goes around comes around. Respect and confidence are earned by one’s behavior.

C. Verse 26 says the virtuous woman is wise and kind.

Where do you think this woman will get her wisdom? Psalms 111:10 says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.” Wisdom comes from a fear of the Lord and understanding His commandments.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 instructs the believer about the effects of love and says, “Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.”

III. FAVOR IS DECEITFUL, BEAUTY IS VAIN. Prov. 30:30

A. Favor is deceitful. It is referring to living one’s live seeking the favor or approval of others. Means living to impress others. Sure it is all right to look nice to look one’s best. But dressing to attract attention is sinful because it is based in pride.

B. Beauty is vain. The word “vain” means worthless or of no value. Over dressing and making one’s appearance the driving force in a person’s life is worthless says God.

Seeking to impress and gain favor and to hear “Oh, isn’t she pretty!” is vanity. Think of the sorrowful life so many women live trying to look like a Barbie doll? What wasted lives.

ILLUS: I watched a few minutes of a TV program on the problem of Anorexia and bulimia in young girls and women. These woman were obsessed with the way the look and they starved themselves sick trying to look good to others. Sometimes their obsession kills them. The reporter told them as had their family and doctors that they look nice, but it did not matter. Their pride in their appearance controlled them. C. This passage is written in Hebrew poetic form which has two negatives, and two positives. The two negatives are the same thing.

1. The word “praised” is taken from a word that means to “shine.”

2. This is true praise, virtuous praise, deserved praised, reward that is lasting. Because the actions produced came from a deep reverence, love and fear of God. Did you notice that her children and husband also praise her.

3. 1 Timothy 2:9-10 says, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.”

The context of this instruction begins in 1 Timothy 2:1 and is Paul’s exhortation for believers to pray, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (2 Tim. 2:1-5)

The word “modest apparel” means in clothing that is modest, in good behavior, and seemly.

The word “shamefacedness” means a having a sense of shame or honor, modesty, bashfulness, reverence, regard for others, respect.

The word “sobriety” means having self-control and sobriety.

The phrase “not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array” refers to the dressing to advertise a woman’s sexuality. In biblical times the women who worn these things were prostitutes. Today a woman can dress nicely and were her hair braided. She can wear jewelry and nice clothes, but as a Christian she should dress modestly. I do not think we need to go into specifics about what is modest. If it is worn to draw attention one’s body is it immodest. If it is tight fighting and or short it is immodest. Shamefacedness means having a sense of regard for others and respect for one’s self, on husband and family.

If you want an example look at my wife. She always dresses modestly because she loves the Lord and she loves her husband. I am proud of her and to me she is the most beautiful woman on earth.

Conclusion:

1. The woman whose life is truly meaningful, is a woman who loves and fears God.

2. What influence is a God fearing Mother? What greatness and good can she inspire in her family and those who know her?

ILLUS: When you study some of the great, positive, history-making figures, you will often find they speak of the influence of a parent. Abraham Lincoln is quoted as saying, “All that I am I owe to my angel mother.” General Douglas MacArthur said, “My sainted mother taught me devotion to God and a love of country which have ever sustained me. To her I yield anew a son’s reverent thanks.”

The great preacher G. Campbell Morgan had four sons. They all became ministers. At a family reunion a friend asked one of the sons, “Which Morgan is the greatest preacher?” With his eyes beaming with delight, the son looked over to his father and said, “Why, it’s Mother!”

God wants women with open hearts who will be faithful Him and live lives that honor and bring glory to God. Women willing to raise their families, to guide their households towards God.

Maybe you do not match up to the woman of Proverbs 31: Few do….but that does not mean you can’t.

Maybe in the past you have not been the Mother you needed to be. We all look back and see our mistakes….yet God is the God of new beginnings! Today, you can make that full commitment to the Lord!

Isaia 61:4-11

Isaia 61:10a „Mă bucur în Domnul.”

Nici poporul Israel, nici neamurile nu pot să se salveze. Numai Domnul poate să îmbrace hainele neprihănirii, numai El poate să dea daruri celor răscumpăraţi. Numai Domnul Isus poate mântui. El este Mirele împodobit cu o cunună împărătească, care vine să-Şi ia mireasa împodobită cu ornamentele ei. Cum aştepţi tu pe Mirele? Cum te bucuri în aşteptarea ta?

Numai Domnul poate să binecuvânteze pământul ca să aducă roadă. Omul poate să are, să semene, dar numai Dumnezeu face ca plantele să crească. Când pământul rodeşte, Domnul este lăudat.

Cum lauzi tu pe Domnul când pământul rodeşte?

Cum te ajută metaforele folosite (nunta-mirele şi mireasa, belşugul pământului) ca să înţelegi bucuria lui Isaia? Cum înţelegi viaţa nouă? Este o bucurie pentru tine ca să fii în relaţie cu Domnul?

Cine experimentează transformarea pe care o aduce harul lui Dumnezeu, ajunge să se bucure de prezenţa Domnului în închinare şi prin laudă la adresa Lui.

Domnul transformă inimi. Domnul dă bucurie.

Doamne, cer prezenţa Duhului Tău peste mine, cer ungerea Ta sfântă pentru ca să pot duce vestea cea bună celor nenorociţi, să pot să mă rog pentru vindecarea inimilor zdrobite, să pot să mă rog pentru eliberarea şi izbăvirea Ta. Ajută-mă să vestesc îndurarea şi mângâierea Ta, să încurajez pe cei întristaţi, să duc bucurie în locul plânsului, să slujesc cu bucurie şi umilinţă, şi să am lauda Ta pe buze.

Învaţă-mă cum să aduc reconstruire, restaurare şi reinnoire în viaţa mea şi în relaţiile mele. Fereşte-mă de dărâmare, de năruire şi pustiire în relaţiile mele.

Îţi mulţumesc că mă ajuţi să trăiesc cu responsabilitate în lucrările încredinţate mie. Îmi doresc să cinstesc pe alţii, să iubesc dreptatea, să urăsc răpirea lucrurilor altora şi nelegiuirea. Îţi mulţumesc pentru răsplata pe care o am de la Tine. Mă bucur că am făcut un legământ cu Tine în apa botezului şi vreau să-l respect cu credincioşie. Cred că Tu eşti credincios şi nu mă vei lăsa de ruşine niciodată.

Îţi mulţumesc pentru toate binecuvântările pământeşti şi cereşti. Mă bucur şi sufletul meu este plin de veselie în Dumnezeul meu! Tu m-ai salvat! Tu m-ai izbăvit! Te laud în faţa tuturor oamenilor!

Doamne, mă bucur pentru Duhul Tău cel Sfânt prezent în inima mea!

Iubeşte dreptatea

Isaia 61:4-11

Isaia 61:8a

„Căci

Eu, Domnul,

iubesc dreptatea.”

Cum sunt descrise oraşele şi locuitorii lor? Oraşele sunt dărâmături, năruiri, pustii.

Este viaţa ta o dărâmătură, o năruire, o pustie?

Ce anume trebuie reconstruit, restaurat şi reînnoit în familia ta? Dar în relaţiile tale?

Crezi că trebuie să-ţi reconstruieşti credinţa? Cum a fost credinţa lui Avraam?

Recunoşti că numai Duhul Sfânt poate restaura viaţa şi credinţa ta? Cum foloseşte Dumnezeu Cuvântul Scripturilor ca să reînnoiască viaţa ta, familia ta, biserica ta, relaţiile tale?

Locuitorii sunt socotiţi preoţii Domnului, slujitorii Domnului care vor mânca bogăţiile neamurilor, care vor avea îndoită cinste, care vor avea slujitori şi vor stăpâni cu bucurie. Aceasta nu este o poziţie sau un privilegiu, ci o responsabilitate.

Crezi tu promisiunea Domnului că poţi să fii o slujitoare a Domnului care are o îndoită cinste, care stăpâneşte cu bucurie? Cum simţi responsabilitatea pe umerii tăi?

În trecut poporul Domnului a experimentat ruşine şi dispreţ. Au fost pedepsiţi pentru păcatele lor. Acum, primesc o dublă moştenire şi bucurie. Dumnezeu le-a promis o ţară unde curge lapte şi miere. Viaţa poporului va fi schimbată. Dumnezeu îi va proteja şi îi va curăţi.

Care este relaţia poporului Domnului cu Domnul? De ce poporul se poate baza pe promisiunile Domnului?

Domnul este credincios; ne putem baza pe El. El va împlini ce a promis.

Nu în timpul meu, nu în limitele fixate de mine, ci în timpul Lui, în limitele fixate de El, va împlini tot ce a promis.

Domnul iubeşte dreptatea şi urăşte răpirea şi nelegiuirea.

Domnul a încheiat un legământ cu poporul Lui (darul Duhului Sfânt ne călăuzeşte şi ne descoperă că suntem fii şi fiice ale Împăratului, prin Cuvânt) şi El rămâne credincios promisiunilor Lui.

Ai încheiat un legământ în apa botezului şi ai promis că vei fi credincioasă Domnului până la moarte? Cum păstrezi legământul tău cu Domnul?

Poporul Domnului este o sămânţă binecuvântată. Toate generaţiile demonstrează prin purtare, atitudini şi experienţă: credinţa în Fiul Lui, binecuvântările Domnului, darul măreţ şi promisiunea harului continuu. Cum îţi numeri binecuvântările?

Doamne, păstrează în inima mea credinţa cea adevărată

şi ajută-mă să iubesc dreptatea !
